ISO RailDax is a data format used for data exchange between IT applications used for railway service planning.
The RailDax initiative is initiated and led by Jernbanedirektoratet with support from Standard Norge and international experts.
The purpose of the RailDax standard is to facilitate for planning of railway operations between organisations in the transportation sector (communication between stakeholders).
RailDax is based on proven railML experience during the previous 20 years and is developed as a twin to railML2.5.
ISO/TS 4398 (CD) is currently (until 7 December 2021) undergoing acceptance process in ISO TC 204 ITS and is expected to be published in March 2022.
